Associate Attorney

Emily J. Bare

Serving Clients in Scottsdale, Tempe and Surrounding Areas

Emily earned her Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law in May of 2023, where she graduated with an interest in Estate Planning. Her fascination with wills and trusts began before law school during her time as a legal assistant, where she learned that planning for the future is just as exciting as binge-watching legal dramas (but with more paperwork). Emily is currently licensed to practice law in Arizona.

Prior to joining the firm, Emily served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable D. Steven Williams at the Arizona Court of Appeals, Division One. There, she conducted extensive legal research and drafted memorandum decisions, in collaboration with the Judge, on a wide range of cases.

Emily has always had a global mindset (and a suitcase packed just in case). As a law student, she served as the Executive Editor for the Gonzaga Journal of International Law, where she published two student Notes titled: The Persistence of Enforced Disappearance in the Republic of Iraq and Mothers’ Rights are Human Rights. Emily also externed in Geneva, Switzerland for a non-governmental organization affiliated with the United Nations, where she drafted reports, letters, statements, and urgent appeals to UN human rights bodies and delivered three oral statements before the United Nations Human Rights Council.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys traveling, reading, hiking, and attending boxing classes—because every good estate planner needs a solid left hook. She’s also a fan of international cuisine, particularly if it involves cheese, spice, or anything served with a tiny umbrella. When she’s not in the office or on a plane, she loves spending time with family and friends, who are still politely waiting for her to explain what “probate” means in plain English.
